This year was the fourth time printMAX has exhibited at Sign & Digital UK, but for me this was a new event.
As a newbie in the Sign Industry I was looking forward to meeting the connections I’d made face to face. I was also eager to meet our suppliers, competitors and customers all in one place, allowing for a real opportunity to broaden my knowledge and understanding of the print industry. I was not disappointed.
After spending weeks and weeks on preparation for the show, right up to the moment it opened, it was a real pleasure to see so many industry members flood through the doors of the NEC when the show opened at 10am. Inviting people onto our stand to demonstrate the Roland technology and printMAX knowledge was a great way to meet visitors and we were overwhelmed by the positive response we were receiving.
With Roland hosting a cafe as their exhibition stand there was a great opportunity to give our visitors real time and attention aside from the hustle and bustle of the exhibition. A sit down, a coffee and a chat – 10 minutes later we’d made a new business relationship and a great sales lead.
By the third day we may have been slightly weary but still enthusiastic, especially given that until the show ended on the final day we had barely a moment to think with the traffic coming through the stand. It was a highly successful show and a great experience, both printMAX and I have come away having renewed some great friendships and having made many new ones. For any new members of the large format industry I would say attending is a must, the show offerings are vast – with both customers and suppliers/manufacturers on hand to give great advice and support.
