For their next trick…Roland’s most successful authorised dealer for the past three years have just sold the very first Roland VersaUV LEF-20. printMAX reported at 10am on the release day that they had sold their first LEF-20 within the first hour of release and we believe it to be the first worldwide sale of the new desktop UV flatbed printer.

The LEF-20 has been eagerly anticipated as the successor to the innovative VersaUV LEF-12 desktop UV solution, and was finally announced following a teaser campaign on Tuesday 24th September. In just under an hour on that same day printMAX were able to confirm that they had secured a sale to an existing printMAX customer and Roland user, Digitalblanks.com.

Digitalblanks.com specialise in blank merchandise but also work on creating precision jigs, custom made to ensure the best coverage when printing onto merchandise. These jigs can be used on a variety of printers, including the Roland VersaUV range. With the wider flatbed on the LEF-20, Digitalblanks.com will now be able to create larger print space opportunities with their customised jigs. Being the first in the market to own the new model is essential for their future product offering.

printMAX have a certain history with taking the number one spot when it comes to Roland printers, having previously sold the first XR and VS in Europe and going on to sell more VS models than any other UK dealer, printMAX also secured the first LEJ-640 sale in the world back in 2011. The company uses the motto of “exceeding expectations” to describe the service they provide, when it comes to introducing new technology they certainly aren’t disappointing.

The company are also offering additional price support on the previous model, the Roland VersaUV LEF-12, with prices starting at just £12,500.
